Northshore Robotics Team Making Waves in Technology
Redfish Robotics is a team of students from Slidell High School. They were invited to demonstrate the possibility of robotic pizza delivery to national Domino's franchise holders at their annual New Orleans convention, where the company is looking to get their product to the customers, faster.
Now they are competing in the tech challenge division of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) World Championships. Redfish Robotics is the first Louisiana team to advance to this level. The competition is held in Houston, TX from Wednesday - Saturday. Sponsors include Walt Disney, Southwest Airlines, Boeing, and Lego. In addition to high schools, colleges are represented as well.
Teams from Mandeville Junior High and Mandeville High will also be in the championships by receiving wild-card invitations.
